At last, I'm done already with all my 6 sessions. I admit I was a bit scared for that last one, but, I didn't entertain it. Casted it out immediately.
Though I would always be scared on the needle being poked at me, ha ha ha. Never got used to it because those assisting me found it hard to locate the right vein. During the most recent sessions, they had 2 to 3 attempts poking. I have been requesting for the best nurse to do it. But, that was over. I had my last session last July 9. So thankful to God. I am soooo blessed to have tolerated the medications. Though I had weak knees on the 3th to 6th day after each session, but that was okay. It got back to normal after that.
My maintenance med of corticosteroids for 5 days caused gastric irritation. I had to eat every 2 hours, night and day - during those 5 days. But, after that, there was no need to get up at night just to eat. But, I had snacks in between meals at daytime. Just imagine that was my routine every 21 days for each session. The outcome: gain weight of sooo much pounds, ha ha ha. Again, that was over.
I underwent laboratory tests-- Urinalysis, blood chemistry for the needed parameters, hematology i.e hemoglobin, WBC, platelet counts-- before undergoing each session to make sure it is okay to push through. Thank God, all went well even though at times the laboratory parameters were at its low borderline. In those times, I had to eat well, eat liver and camote tops as well and take the prescribed iron vitamin. Twice I was injected a medication to enhance the production of RBC.
Ultrasound was okay and CA 125 results were at normal ranges, meaning, there were no trace that the C-cells are growing.
God is indeed so good to those who call upon His name. He provided for all my needs and sent the people who have walked with me all throughout my journey. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ.
Hi, I am Ermie. A Journey with Cancer that I want to share to interested readers for I believed that I have been called by God in my own little way to inspire and share His goodness and blessings to me. The Grace to Inspire and a Call to Share that I must heed. Thank you!.

38th Post: Prayer for Healing: Cancer Healing
CANCER HEALING
Loving Father, I come before you
trusting in Your goodness, kindness
and the power of Your healing love
as I lift up to You my sickness.
Heal me, Lord, of my cancer
of (specify sickness).
Lord, You know all things.
You can do all things and I know
You love me very much.
Only you know what's best for me
and what I need in terms of healing.
As I sit before You now
lay Your hands upon me,
touch me, heal me, and
bring my wholeness of body, mind,
emotions and spirit.
Let the grace of Your divine love and power
flow to me right now to reach the inner recesses of my being
and spread to the different parts of my body.
Take away any pain or feeling of discomfort.
Correct any malfunctioning of my bodily organs and tissues.
Melt with the heat of Your healing love
all abnormal and cancerous growths.
Arrest the further spreading of those sick cells
and create in me new and healthy cells.
Root all out the hurts embedded
in my subconscious through the years.
Heal all my feelings of rejection, anger,
frustration, aggravation, all painful
memories of the past and repercussions
of traumatic experiences.
As You root out all hurts,
fill the void with Your spirit
of love, peace and understanding,
acceptance, meekness and tenderness,
kindness, concern and generosity.
As I completely surrender to You my cancer sickness,
deliver me from dwelling on self-pity,
fears, anxieties, hopelessness and all negative thoughts.
Give me the grace to offer all my pains and sufferings
for other suffering people like me,
especially those sick with cancer,
with no one to support them and pray for them.
Help me to see the blessings out of each trial
to realize each victory from every tear,
to see Your guiding hand and feel Your loving presence
in everything that is happening to me,
confident that You are totally in control.
Help me to learn lessons from my mistakes of the past
and work on changes in my life and in my way of living.
And then, dearest Lord, after I have been healed,
may my life be a witness to Your love,
peace and healing powers for others
and bring glory, honor and praise to You.
All these I pray in the name of Jesus,
through the intercession of Mama Mary
and all the saints and angels.
Amen.

37th Post: Insight of the Day from Bob Proctor
"None of us has the power to make someone else love us. But we all have the power to give away love, to love other people. And if we do so, we change the kind of person we are, and we change the kind of world we live in." --- Rabbi Harold Kushner, Author of Living a Life That Matters
36th Post: Excerpts from My Prayer Booklet re: Suffering
O how insupportable sorrow
is when suffered far form the cross.
But how sweet it becomes
if one suffers close to the cross of Jesus.
------
Know to value suffering as an instrument
of purification and evangelization
------
To accept suffering
does not mean neither to be sorry,
neither to love suffering
but rather to accept that it therefore humbles one,
as the earth accepts rain from the heavens
that penetrates to its depths.
------
Sufferings to become the portal
to a union with Christ.
------
....that God will help us comprehend the efficacious power
of accepting our crosses
------
...that we accept unsparingly
the adversities
that are placed before us
as a test of our faith
------
It was impossible to eliminate suffering
but, may we saw
that it could bring relief and be felt obligated
to do something

35th Post: The Prayer Blueprint: The Lord's Prayer
Using The Prayer Blueprint: To learn about prayer, you must pray. Take it seriously & carve out some time each day to pray. Jesus gave us a blue-print (Luke 11:2-4) use it that way. Begin by praying, "Our Father in heaven. "Let mind focus on what it means to talk to the God of the universe as Father. Then pray about His person,"hallowed be Your name. "About His program, "Your kingdom come." And about His purpose, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Then pray to the Father about the family. Pray for provision, "Give us our daily bread."Pray for pardon,"And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us." And pray for protection, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
If you let this prayer serve as your blueprint, you will discover that its elements have purifying effect on what you pray for. You won't be able to pray for things that would exalt your name, advance your kingdom, or promote your will. To ask for daily bread if you're living in defiance would be like a traitor asking for strength to betray his country. You won't be able to ask God to forgive you when you are not willing to forgive someone else. And to ask God for His protection from the evil one would be contradictory if you are cultivating temptations.
Though prayer is hard work, our communication with God is essential to our spiritual well-being.

34th Post: Today: A Shared Message
Today,
I'll laugh and let my heart sing
for none of us know what tomorrow may bring....
Today,
I'll be thankful that God's on my side,
no need to worry,
no need to hide...
Today,
I'll proclaim it: "His promises are true".
Faith can move mountains
and save countries, too...
Today,
I'll live it, as God would intend enjoying each blessing
from beginning to end....
Today,
wasn't promised. It's a gift from above,
a gift worth sharing,
the gift of God's Love!
-------
This is indeed true, prayer do wonders and can save our countries and the whole world.
Even just an utter prayer of requests, blessings, graces
and, thanksgiving count,
said with conviction and faith and with the whole heart.

26th Post: Minsan Lamang (Just Once)
MINSAN LAMANG
THE COMMUNION SONG: ANG AWIT
I am not aware if there's an English version of this Church's Communion Song, but, hope to give justice as I translate it for those who don't speak our Filipino language.
THE SONG:
"Minsan lamang akong daraan sa daigdig na ito
Kaya anuman ang mabuting maaring gawin ko ngayon
O anumang kabutihan ang maari kong ipadama
Itulot ninyong magawa ko ngayon ang mga bagay na ito.
Nawa’y huwag ko itong ipagpaliban o ipagwalang bahala
Sapagkat di na ako muling daraan sa ganitong mga landas."
THE SONG:
I'll pass this life's road only once (Life on Earth)
Whatever goodness that I could possibly do now
or whatever kindness that I could share
let me do it now.
May I not ignore, delay or postpone it
for I will never pass this road again.
This is indeed true. We will never pass this road again and so we have to be at our best to do whatever we can NOW, in whatever way, no matter how small or big our intentions are.
Time flies so fast. The dates will never come back again. Many times have been wasted. Let us not regret those times-- ANYMORE.
I have wasted so many times. Valuable times. Valuable moments. Valuable hours.
It's not yet late. Today is the time-- to start anew.....
Yes, I will only pass this road once and I will take this moment to make it worthwhile. ---even just ONE good deed - will make me the person in me somehow worthy of a life. Probably this blog is that ONE for now - as I share a big chunk of me.
If I could do more GOOD DEEDS - that would be a plus or better a LEGACY that will remain even if I'm gone.

25th Post: Just Wanna Share A Poem I Wrote in 2008
Life's So Simple
"What profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul"
The Holy Bible speaks.
But, people continue
to seize more riches, more fame and power
in ruthless endeavor.
Why worry when you don't have riches,
Why worry when you don't have the fame,
Why worry when you don't have the power,
When life's so simple.
In fact, we have everything...
In all aspects in abundance.
But, what did men do?
Grab anything and simply lose everything!
Or live a life that's simple.
A challenge hard to meet?
What if you gain the whole world?
What if you gain nothing?
The answers lie in your hands.Ermie Rivera

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina
Lord Jesus, Crucified and Resurrected,
we thank you for having given us,
St. Pio of Pietrelcina,
as one who shared in Your pain and passion,
and was the instrument of bestowing God’s mercy.
We ask you, in imitation
of the <Holy Friar of Mount Gargano>,
to make our life
<an intimate and loving participation
in Your sacrifice>,
by a kindly and generous dedication
to love all of God’s children.
May it be a testimony of truth and love which,
as Your disciples,
we must announce all of God’s people.
We offer to You, O Lord,
our gratitude for the sanctity of Padre Pio
who is a sign of great hope
in this tormented world.
May your Holy Servant,
blessed with the stigmata,
intercede for us before the throne of God.
Amen.

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina
(Pope John Paul II recited this prayer on the occasion of the canonization of Padre Pio, June 16, 2002)
Padre Pio, teach us too, we pray, humility, that we may be counted among the humble of heart in the Gospel to whom the Father promised to reveal the mysteries of His kingdom. Obtain for us an expression of faith capable of recognizing Jesus in the faces of the poor and suffering. Sustain us during our times of trial and struggle and, should we fall, let us experience the joy of forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Teach us tender devotion towards Mary, Mother of Christ and our Mother. Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage towards the blessed Homeland, where we, too, hope to arrive to contemplate eternally the glory of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer to St. Pio of Pietrelcina
Most blessed and beloved Saint Pio, you were chosen to glorify the crucified Jesus Christ through the visible wounds of the Cross that you bore for 50 years. And like our Lord Jesus, you demonstrated your great love by sharing the many gifts bestowed upon you -- especially the gift of intercession.
Because of your great friendship with the Lord, He responds to your requests and blesses those who you bless. I now add my prayer to the many prayers offered to you every day by those who seek your help to obtain healings and consolations, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body, mind and soul.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Protection Prayer
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Act of Consecration
Oh most Noble Prince of the Angelic Hierarchies valorous warrior of Almighty God; and zealous lover of His glory, terror of the rebellious angels, and love and delight of all the just ones, my beloved Archangel Saint Michael, desiring to be numbered among your devoted servants, I, today offer and consecrate myself to you, and place myself, my family, and all I possess under your most powerful protection.
I entreat you not to look at how little, I, as your servant have to offer, being only a wretched sinner, but to gaze, rather, with favorable eye at the heartfelt affection with which this offering is made, and remember that if from this day onward I am under your patronage, you must during all my life assist me, and procure for me the pardon of many grievous offenses, and sins, the grace of love with all my heart my God, my dear Savior Jesus, and my Sweet Mother Mary, and obtain for me all the help necessary to arrive to my crown of glory.
Defend me always from my spiritual enemies, particularly in the last moments of my life.
Come then oh Glorious Prince and succor me in my last struggle, and with your powerful weapon cast far from me into the infernal abysses that prevaricator and proud angel that one day you prostrated in the celestial battle.
St. Michael, defend us in our daily battle so that we may not perish in the last judgment.

Prayer to St. Francis of Assisi
Blessing of St. Francis
May the Lord bless you and keep you
May He show His face to you and be merciful to you.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.
Peace Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love,
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph
To you, blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our tribulation, and having implored the help of your most holy spouse, we confidently invoke your patronage also. By the sacred bond of love which united you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by your fatherly love for the Child Jesus, we ask you to look graciously on the beloved inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by His blood. Assist us in our needs by your powerful help. Provider and guardian of the Holy Family, protect the Church of Jesus Christ. Keep error and sin far from us, most loving father. Mercifully assist us from heaven, most mighty defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And just as of old you rescued the Child Jesus from the threat of death, so now defend God’s holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Keep us one and all under your continual protection, so that by following your example and with your assistance, we may be enabled to lead a virtuous life, die a holy death and come at last to the possession of everlasting blessedness in heaven. Amen.
