20th Post: Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina (2)

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina

Lord Jesus, Crucified and Resurrected,
we thank you for having given us,
St. Pio of Pietrelcina,
as one who shared in Your pain and passion,
and was the instrument of bestowing God’s mercy.
We ask you, in imitation
of the <Holy Friar of Mount Gargano>,
to make our life
<an intimate and loving participation
in Your sacrifice>,
by a kindly and generous dedication
to love  all of God’s children.
May it be a testimony of truth and love which,
as Your disciples,
we must announce all of God’s people.
We offer to You, O Lord,
our gratitude for the sanctity of Padre Pio
who is a sign of great hope
in this tormented world.
May your Holy Servant,
blessed with the stigmata,
intercede for us before the throne of God.
Amen.

19th Post: Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina

(Pope John Paul II recited this prayer on the occasion of the canonization of Padre Pio, June 16, 2002)

Padre Pio, teach us too, we pray, humility, that we may be counted among the humble of heart in the Gospel to whom the Father promised to reveal the mysteries of His kingdom. Obtain for us an expression of faith capable of recognizing Jesus in the faces of the poor and suffering. Sustain us during our times of trial and struggle and, should we fall, let us experience the joy of forgiveness in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Teach us tender devotion towards Mary, Mother of Christ and our Mother. Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage towards the blessed Homeland, where we, too, hope to arrive to contemplate eternally the glory of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer to St. Pio of Pietrelcina

Most blessed and beloved Saint Pio, you were chosen to glorify the crucified Jesus Christ through the visible wounds of the Cross that you bore for 50 years. And like our Lord Jesus, you demonstrated your great love by sharing the many gifts bestowed upon you -- especially the gift of intercession.

Because of your great friendship with the Lord, He responds to your requests and blesses those who you bless. I now add my prayer to the many  prayers offered to you every day by those who seek your help to obtain healings and consolations, earthly and spiritual blessings, and peace for body, mind and soul.

In your loving kindness, please bless my loved ones and me, and intercede for these special requests…(Mention your intentions)

In your great love, Saint Pio, please continue to pray with us and for us. Amen.

Prayer for the Trust and Confidence in God's Mercy

 O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence and trust in Your divine mercy, and the courage to accept the crosses and sufferings which will bring immense goodness to our souls and that of your Church.

Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart, and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross, as we climb the mountain of holiness, carrying our cross that leads to heavenly glory.

May we receive You with great faith and love in Holy Communion, and allow You to act in us, as You desire, for Your greater glory.

O Jesus, most adorable heart and eternal fountain of Divine Love, may our prayer find favor before the Divine Majesty of Your Heavenly Father. Amen.

15th Post: Prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Protection Prayer

St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Act of Consecration

Oh most Noble Prince of the Angelic Hierarchies valorous warrior of Almighty God; and zealous lover of His glory, terror of the rebellious angels, and love and delight of all the just ones, my beloved Archangel Saint Michael, desiring to be numbered among your devoted servants, I, today offer and consecrate myself to you, and place myself, my family, and all I possess under your most powerful protection.

I entreat you not to look at how little, I, as your servant have to offer, being only a wretched sinner, but to gaze, rather, with favorable eye at the heartfelt affection with which this offering is made, and remember that if from this day onward I am under your patronage, you must during all my life assist me, and procure for me the pardon of many grievous offenses, and sins, the grace of love with all my heart my God, my dear Savior Jesus, and my Sweet Mother Mary, and obtain for me all the help necessary to arrive to my crown of glory.

Defend me always from my spiritual enemies, particularly in the last moments of my life.

Come then oh Glorious Prince and succor me in my last struggle, and with your powerful weapon cast far from me into the infernal abysses that prevaricator and proud angel that one day you prostrated in the celestial battle.

St. Michael, defend us in our daily battle so that we may not perish in the last judgment.

14th Post: Prayer to St. Francis of Assisi

Prayer to St. Francis of Assisi

Blessing of St. Francis

 May the Lord bless you and keep you
May He show His face to you and be merciful to you.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis

 Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled
as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love,
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

13th Post: Prayer to St. Joseph

Prayer to St. Joseph

To you, blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our tribulation, and having implored the help of your most holy spouse, we confidently invoke your patronage also. By the sacred bond of love  which united you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by your fatherly love for the Child Jesus, we ask you to look graciously on the beloved inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by His blood. Assist us in our needs by your powerful help. Provider and guardian of the Holy Family, protect the Church of Jesus Christ. Keep error and sin far from us, most loving father. Mercifully assist us from heaven, most mighty defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And just as of old you rescued the Child Jesus from the threat of death, so now defend God’s holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Keep us one and all under your continual protection, so that by following your example and with your assistance, we may be enabled to lead a virtuous life, die a holy death and come at last to the possession of everlasting blessedness in heaven. Amen.

11th Post: Petition to Mama Mary

Petition to Mama Mary

Most Holy Virgin Immaculate, my Mother Mary, to you who are the Mother of my Lord, the Queen of the universe, the Advocate, the hope, the refuge of sinners, I who am the most miserable of all sinners, have recourse to you this day. I venerate you, great Queen, and I thank you for the many graces you have bestowed upon me even unto this day, in particular for having delivered me from the Hell which I have so often deserved by my sins. I love you, most dear Lady; and for the love I bear you, I promise to serve you willingly forever and to do what I can to make you loved by others also. I place in you all my hopes for salvation; accept me as your servant and shelter me under your mantle, you are my Mother of Mercy. And since you are so powerful with God, deliver me from all temptations, or at least obtain for me the strength to overcome them until death. From you I implore a true love for Jesus Christ. Through you I hope to die a holy death. My dear Mother, by the love you bear to Almighty God, I pray to you to assist me always, but most of all at the last moment of my life. Forsake me not then, until you shall see me safe in Heaven, there to bless you and sing of your mercies through all eternity. Such is my hope. Amen.

9th Post: Prayer to Jesus

PRAYER TO JESUS

Jesus lives who, notwithstanding my every fault, wants to make a sharer in his sorrows. O how insupportable sorrow is when suffered far from the cross. But how sweet it becomes if one suffers close to the cross of Jesus. Everything becomes easy for the soul, even when it feels itself oppressed  and intoxicated by every sort of grief. And where there not in the depths of this soul that holy fear of being able to displease the divine spouse, it would feel itself to be in Paradise. The soul placed in such a state, as often as it turns to the Divine Master, says to him, “ Yes, O Jesus, your yoke is easy and your burden is light.” It pleases God to hear from every soul this new way of suffering.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father…

Sacred Heat of Jesus., I place all my trust in You.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours…

Hail, Holy Queen…
St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

Prayer to the Sacred of Jesus

Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrated himself today to Thy most Sacred Heart.

Many indeed have never known Thee; many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to Thy Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that there may be but one flock and one shepherd.

Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: “Praise be to the divine heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor forever, Amen.”

7th Post: Prayers that Keep me Going that I'd Like to Share

With due respect to other Creed and Religion. Please allow me share with you the prayers that keep me going.

I will be posting several prayers that came my way in this journey. It's my call of duty and obligation as a Christian to post and share these prayers with you.

I have been called as well to pray humbly and longer than usual. Those dear to me- family, relatives, friends and friends of friends offered their prayers and I can feel the Graces of their prayers.  We all believed in the Power of Prayers. Prayers make us UNITED with God.   It makes wonders and miracles.

Aside from the Rosary. Novenas to the Sacred Heart and St. Perigrine - Patron Saint of the Sick and those with cancer, I have encountered  the Prayer Booklet of St. Pio of Pietrelcina-- through one of my bestfriends-- who brought me to the Chapel of St. Pio.
The prayers I will be posting came from the Booklet.

(Just a little info: On September 20, 1918St. Pio, the 5 wounds of the Lord's Passion appeared on his body, making him the first stigmatized priest in the History of the Church. Declared a Saint by Pope John Paul II on June 16, 2002).

St. Pio intercedes for us in prayer to those who seek help  to obtain healings and consolations, earthy and spiritual blessings, and peace for body, mind and soul. He was  chosen to glorify the crucified Jesus Christ through the visible wounds of the Cross that he bore for 50 years. And like our Lord Jesus, he demonstrated great love by sharing the many gifts bestowed upon him -- especially THE GIFT OF INTERCESSION.

" Pray, hope and don't worry,
Worry is useless.
God is merciful and will hear your prayers"
--St. Pio of  Pietrelcina

Prayers that I will post from St. Pio's Booklet:
1. Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Prayer to the Sacred of Jesus
2. Prayer to Jesus
3. Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
4. Petition to Mama Mary
5. Prayer to our Lady of Grace
6. Prayer to St. Joseph
7. Prayer to St. Francis of Assisi
8. Prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel
9. Prayer for Trust and Confidence in God's Mercy
10. And, should you also opted to seek for St. Pio's Intercession. Please let me include as
     well number 11 onwards:
11.  Prayer to St. Pio of Pietrelcina
12.  Prayer to Obtain Graces
13.  Prayer for the Intercession of St. Pio
14.  Act of Entrustment to St. Pio
15.  Chaplet of St. Pio

It's a blessing to know and encounter these prayers.

I continue to grow in prayer. And it's a grace to pray more fervently for my family, relatives, friends and friends of friends. I also have the opportunity now to pray for more people, our barangay, our city, our country and the world to be at peace. And, for the climate and the whole environment.

So many things to be prayed for and be thankful for. Hope you will be one with me in prayer. Prayers do wonders and miracles.

People United in Prayer is a People United in Peace. A Country United in Prayer is a Country United in Peace.

Thank You!
